Job summary

Caesars Entertainment’s Horseshoe Bossier City is seeking a Director of Surveillance to oversee the department, ensure regulatory compliance and protect company assets. You will design CCTV systems, manage budgets, develop staff, and implement loss-prevention programs.

The role requires a high level of integrity, extensive security experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-volume gaming environment. A valid LA gaming license is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Seven to ten years’ experience in security or surveillance in a large volume business or industry with a 4 year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid LA State Gaming License and Responsible Vendor card.
• Knowledge of all gaming laws and regulations.
• Management abilities demonstrated in managing department and areas.
• Public relations and customer service skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
• Ability to manage and resolve complex issues. Can be a high stress environment.

• Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule in an interruptive environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages budgeting, planning, communication and implementing procedures for overall operation of department.
• Responsible for designing and installing CCTV and alarm system.
• Development of staff, interviews, hires, and evaluates.
• Manages processes and programs to reduce and control loss time injuries.
• Implement procedures for protecting casino assets and internal controls to ensure safety and security of employees and customers.
• Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment; delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
• Review surveillance activities with the General Manager.
• Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
• Responsible for planning, controlling, communicating and implementing procedures for efficient operations of the department.
• Ensure staff is trained and prepared to deliver highest level of customer service to guests for positive gaming experience.
• Ensure safety and security of employees and customers; manage programs to control loss time injuries.
• Assist and advise other departments as necessary to ensure successful performance of the Hotel and Company.
• Meet with directors and managers as necessary.
• Control and facilities processes to ensure proper head count and employee coverage; monitor FTEs and overtime.
• Achieve departmental and individual performance goals and duties in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate ability to understand and comply with Company Policies, Processes, and Procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
