Lerch Bates Inc. is seeking an entrepreneurial, Licensed Professional Engineer to lead and grow our Structural Forensics practice from The Colony, TX.

The Director of Operations will oversee a growing team of forensic consultants, manage project delivery, client relationships, and strategic growth while participating in investigations and expert consulting. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with leadership, client skills, and a passion for developing people and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Active PE license is required.
• 10+ years of forensic/structural engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Structural Forensics practice and guide technical direction.
• Oversee project delivery, staffing, budgeting, and client relations.
• Provide expert forensic investigations, failure analyses, and rehabilitation recommendations.
• Mentor and develop engineers and consultants on the team.
• Support business development and strategic growth initiatives.
