Job summary

DLH Corporation in the United States seeks a Lead Data Manager/SAS Programmer to provide senior leadership in data management and statistical programming for federally funded clinical research. You will guide architectural decisions, data workflows, and automated processes across multidisciplinary teams.

You will mentor staff, ensure data quality and reproducibility, and collaborate with investigators and statisticians to deliver high-quality study data and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, health sciences, statistics, data science, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in programming and data management for health research.
• Advanced SAS programming capabilities with macro programming and automation.
• Experience leading data management activities for complex studies.
• Understanding of the full research data lifecycle, from start-up to closeout.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for data management and programming across studies.
• Lead data strategies, workflows, architecture, and data delivery requirements.
• Design and oversee SAS programming solutions for cleaning, transforming, and integrating data.
• Establish data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation procedures.
• Coordinate data integration from multiple sources, ensuring integrity and traceability.
• Deliver study datasets, reports, and data deliverables with high quality and standards.
• Promote standardized, scalable data practices and automate processes where possible.
• Mentor data management staff and guide technical resolution of complex issues.
• Collaborate with investigators, statisticians, epidemiologists, and ops staff.
• Contribute to organizational standards and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulations.
