Job summary

IEX is seeking a Head of SRE, Cross-Asset to lead the SRE organization as we scale our Equities business and launch Options. You will drive reliability, observability, and automation across on-prem production systems, partnering with Core Development, Network, Ops, and Platform teams.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, and remain hands-on to tackle complex production challenges while evolving a scalable SRE model across asset classes. This NY-based role offers bonus and equity.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading global SRE or production teams for high-availability systems.
• Experience driving reliability, observability, and incident management at scale.
• Strong Linux, networking, automation, and production operations knowledge.
• Trading or exchange domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SRE organization across Equities and Options.
• Define strategy for reliability, observability, automation, incidents, capacity and performance.
• Partner with Dev, Network, Ops, Platform, regulators to run reliable trading systems.
• Develop tooling and CLI utilities to support production systems.
• Grow engineers and leads, standardize best practices across teams.
• Stay technically engaged to troubleshoot complex issues across infra, apps, hardware, and networks.
