Job summary

Security Industry Association (SIA) in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Director of Research to launch and lead a new strategic function delivering market insights and competitive intelligence for the security industry.

You will build the research program, establish data systems, govern methodologies, and lead publications while partnering with the Research Committee and Member Services for promotion and custom studies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading primary research using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Experience building or expanding a research program or publications portfolio.
• Ability to design surveys, conduct interviews and focus groups, analyze data, and translate findings into insights.

Responsibilities

• Build SIA's research function from the ground up, defining operating model and standards.
• Develop and execute the annual research agenda with the Research Committee.
• Lead all phases of quantitative and qualitative research, including study design and reporting.
• Translate findings into actionable insights through thought leadership, benchmarking, and trend analyses.
• Present findings to members, senior leaders, and stakeholders.
