• Assists in screening applicants and certifying fitness and competence for bus drivers; monitors performance; takes actions as needed.
• Prepares an annual budget and supervises expenditures for personnel, materials, and supplies.
• Proactively identifies and resolves transportation-related issues before they impact operations.
• Oversees fleet maintenance system administration for state and local vehicles.
• Coordinates TIMS to develop school bus routes.
• Investigates and reports accidents involving school transportation.
• Coordinates with State Highway Department on road conditions affecting transportation.
• Operates the computer management system as necessary.
• Conducts safety seminars and updates for employees and students.
• Communicates with parents to coordinate transportation arrangements and address inquiries.
