Job summary

The Thrive Network seeks a Director of School Services to lead its school-based behavioral health programs. You will provide direct client care, supervise clinicians, and guide program leadership across partner schools in NJ and PA.

Responsibilities include setting service standards, monitoring staffing and productivity, and ensuring contract compliance. Travel between Thrive offices and partner schools is expected, with office 1–2 days per week and school days remaining.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey independent clinical license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) with credentialing for Medicaid and commercial payers.
• Experience providing and supervising school-based behavioral health services with children and adolescents.
• Ability to meet school clearance requirements, including background checks.
• Reliable transportation to travel between schools and Thrive offices.

Responsibilities

• Provide at least 18 direct client-facing hours per week, in addition to director responsibilities, primarily at partner schools.
• Lead and oversee school-based behavioral health programs, including therapy, assessments, and summer programming.
• Set program goals, expectations, and service standards.
• Monitor staffing, referrals, productivity, and service delivery across schools.
• Identify program needs and growth opportunities, including new school partnerships.
• Ensure programs meet organizational policies and grant/contract requirements.
• Provide clinical supervision to assigned clinicians and review treatment plans.
• Address performance concerns and support supervisees.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, discipline, and staffing decisions.
• Coordinate school partnerships and act as primary contact for school administrators.
• Track KPIs and grant outcomes; prepare monthly/regular partner reports.
• Collaborate on quality initiatives with relevant directors; participate in leadership meetings.
