Job summary

Altasciences Preclinical Seattle LLC is seeking a senior leader to direct the Safety Assessment department, ensuring operational excellence, quality, and GLP compliance across studies. You will participate in client meetings, help design studies, and mentor staff on drug development requirements and regulatory expectations.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in preclinical safety, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering high-quality reports for regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant biomedical field, MD, DVM or Masters with appropriate training and experience.
• Minimum seven years experience evaluating pharmaceutical preclinical safety and toxicology studies in pharma/biotech or CRO settings.
• Experience in management or supervision of groups or teams.
• Experience in writing and presenting preclinical safety reports for regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Safety Assessment department to ensure operational excellence and quality.
• Lead GLP compliance initiatives and regulatory interactions.
• Mentor staff on drug development requirements and study design.
• Support business development via client meetings and input on study designs.
