Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Director of Safety Assessment to lead the GLP-compliant Safety Assessment department in Everett, WA. You will direct study design support, SOP development, and cross-functional collaboration with Study Directors and regulatory agencies.

The role requires a PhD/MD/DVM or equivalent and extensive preclinical safety experience, plus demonstrated leadership and strategic planning capabilities. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M. or Masters with appropriate training and experience.
• Extensive experience evaluating preclinical safety and toxicology studies in pharma/biotech or CRO settings.
• Strong leadership, staff mentoring and study design capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee GLP compliance initiatives for the Safety Assessment department.
• Develop, review, and implement SOPs, SSPs, policies and training materials.
• Present preclinical safety reports to support regulatory submissions and client meetings.
