Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a senior professional to shape risk and control strategies for its Personal Wealth division. You will evaluate innovative digital tools, partner with product teams and risk experts, and embed governance through the lifecycle from design to implementation.

You will lead and develop teams, influence risk decisions across levels, and balance client outcomes with regulatory requirements in a dynamic, privacy-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years related work experience; leadership required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of investment products and wealth management technology.
• Proven experience in risk management, internal auditing, or compliance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, evaluate, and supervise crew while guiding performance.
• Partner with division leadership and risk partners to embed risk considerations.
• Identify risks and develop processes to embed risk mitigation into products.
• Provide analytical support; respond to risk events and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain risk awareness and training.
• Participate in special projects and governance oversight.
• Maintain governance relationships across the division.
