Job summary

Freebird in the United States seeks a Head of Retail to own and scale the fledgling retail channel, starting with Walmart and Target, expanding to 10,000+ doors. You’ll own strategy, relationships, assortment, economics, and the internal team required to win.

You'll build retailer-specific architectures, manage P&L, trade spend, and in-stock execution across channels while partnering with Product, Operations, and Finance to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in consumer products and retail sales.
• Senior Director/VP/Head of Retail or National Accounts experience.
• Personal ownership of Walmart; Target ownership strongly preferred.
• Experience expanding to thousands of doors and managing retail P&L.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships across product, operations, finance, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Own Walmart relationship and P&L, pricing, programs, and commitments.
• Launch and internalize Target relationships, ownership of launch plan and assortments.
• Develop a 2-3 year U.S. retail expansion strategy across multiple retailers.
• Build retailer-specific assortment architectures and determine product placement and pricing.
• Protect DTC and retail pricing across channels; manage trade spend and promotions.
• Build and scale the internal retail organization for future growth.
