Purdue University’s Purdue IT | Research Computing seeks a Senior Manager, Research Solutions Engineering to lead a team delivering high-performance computing, storage, networking, and archival solutions for the research community. You will guide strategic initiatives, oversee infrastructure investments, and shape day-to-day operations across Purdue’s research ecosystem.

You will partner with the Director and leads to foster hiring, mentorship, and professional growth while representing the team

Qualifications

Knowledge of advanced computational resources and services to support research, such as HPC, research networks, operations, and data storage systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with faculty, students, colleagues, and leaders.
Strong demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a high-performing research solutions engineering team delivering HPC, storage, networking, and archival services.
Collaborate with Director and Leads to set strategy and oversee technology planning and infrastructure investments.
Represent the team on advisory, policy, and project committees and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
Support hiring, retention, professional growth, and succession planning within the team.
