Job summary

Rhode Island School of Design seeks a Director of Prospect Intelligence to drive proactive donor identification and data-driven fundraising strategies. You will synthesize complex data into briefing materials for frontline fundraisers, guiding major gift pipelines with predictive insights.

As a lead within Institutional Advancement, you will mentor the prospect intelligence team, align research with fundraising goals, and ensure data integrity across RISD’s donor records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least seven years in advancement or prospect development.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.
• Experience directly supervising a research or data team.
• Proficiency with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred) and data management.
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Applied Prospect Research & Identification activities using industry resources.
• Oversee Wealth Screening, Capacity Rating, and volunteer research for leadership roles.
• Advance Data Analytics & Pipeline support through predictive modeling.
• Maintain database integrity and coordinate museum membership records integration.
• Manage prospect research workflow and reporting to senior staff.
