Job summary

TAR is building a world-scale off-grid data-center power plant powered by renewables. You will own raising tens of billions in financing end-to-end, working directly with the founders to design innovative structures from first principles and close on aggressive energization dates.

The role requires 10+ years in US energy project finance, deep knowledge of tax credits, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex credit processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in US energy project finance across bank lending, advisory, or in-house at a developer/IPP.
• Led non-recourse construction and term financings for utility-scale solar/storage, with $500M+ debt/tax capital.
• Hands-on tax credit monetization since the IRA, with transferability and/or tax equity knowledge.
• Full command of the project finance model: build, audit, defend in front of a credit committee.
• Current relationships with lenders, tax credit buyers, and equity investors active in US renewables.
• Fluent in drafting credit agreements, security structures, and intercreditor terms with counsel.
• Think from first principles and move fast with extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own financing end to end: structure capital stack and manage lender/investor processes through close.
• Set tax credit monetization strategy and coordinate equipment decisions to protect ITC eligibility.
• Build and maintain the project finance model and data room with diligence-grade outputs.
• Direct third-party diligence (engineer, insurer, consultants, counsel) with clear scopes and timelines.
• Maintain capital coverage across banks, credit funds, tax buyers, and equity investors.
• Shape commercial agreements to meet financeability and lender requirements in major contracts.
• Oversee post-close finance operations: draw, covenants, and lender reporting.
• Grow the project finance team as the program scales to a multi-GW pipeline.
