Job summary

Circle is seeking a Director of Product & Technology Communications to own the company’s media narrative across Arc Platform, Circle Agent Stack, and Circle Payments Network. You’ll embed with the product org early, shaping launches, and coordinating with reporters and conferences in the Bay Area and beyond.

You will build executive thought leadership programs, manage high-profile media relationships with TechCrunch, The Information, and Bloomberg Technology, and lead crisis communications

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product or technology communications, with substantial in-house experience at a technology company.
• Track record of building product brands and developing narrative strategy ahead of announcements.
• Deep relationships with Tier 1 technology and business media (infrastructure, fintech, payments).
• Experience with developer-facing products and communicating to builders and mainstream press.
• Familiarity with AI agent landscape and programmable money infrastructure.
• Strong technical fluency to translate engineering details into media-ready positioning.
• Experience developing executive thought leadership programs and stage management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• High autonomy in identifying work, building strategy, and executing without direction.
• Familiarity with generative AI models and their use in communications workflows.
• Based in San Francisco or Palo Alto.

Responsibilities

• Own Circle's media narrative for Arc as a platform, not just announcements.
• Lead product communications across the Arc Platform, Circle Agent Stack, and Circle Payments Network.
• Embed with the product organization early to shape narratives before launch day.
• Set media and stage strategy for Arc launches and major milestones.
• Develop and own executive speaking opportunities and messaging for leaders.
• Maintain top-tier technology media relationships and grow AI/agentic economy coverage.
• Build and manage executive thought leadership programs and byline opportunities.
• Collaborate with community and developer teams on ecosystem messaging.
• Serve as partner to Public Affairs for crisis and issues management.
• Architect AI-powered communications workflows for monitoring and briefing prep.
• Model team standards for independence, fluency, and narrative ownership.
