Job summary

Tantalus Systems Corp., a Raleigh-based technology company focused on modernizing electric utilities, seeks a Vice President of Product Management. This in‑office role leads the product vision and governance for distribution grid solutions and directs a high‑performing product team.

You will partner with engineering, sales, marketing, and finance to translate utility needs into differentiated offerings with measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, or related roles with substantial leadership experience.
• Deep electric utility domain experience, especially distribution grid tech (metering, AMI, ADMS/DERMS).
• Proven success defining product vision, building roadmaps, leading cross‑functional execution, and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Experience building, scaling, or transforming Product Management organizations and operating models.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead complex cross‑functional decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define a multi‑year product vision and strategy for distribution grid technology, aligned to customer needs and market trends.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing product management organization.
• Oversee portfolio decisions, prioritization, and roadmap governance across functions.
• Drive structured customer engagement with utilities, partners, and stakeholders to validate direction.
• Translate market insights into differentiated product offerings and strategic investments.
• Represent the product function at the executive level and ensure business alignment.
