Job summary

Tantalus Systems is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to lead the vision, process, and performance of the product management function for its distribution grid solutions. The role will architect the organization, roadmap governance, customer feedback loops, and investment decisions to drive market impact and business outcomes.

Based in the Raleigh, NC or Norwalk, CT offices, this is an in‑office position requiring travel for meetings, conferences, and client visits.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in product management or strategy with leadership roles.
• Deep electric utility domain experience in grid technologies is preferred.
• Strong track record of defining vision, building roadmaps, and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Experience scaling Product Management organizations and operating models.
• Proven ability to influence executives and lead cross‑functional decisions.
• Understanding of utility operations, modernization priorities, and software deployments.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a multi‑year product vision for distribution grid technology portfolio.
• Lead the product organization, governance, and collaboration with engineering, sales, and marketing.
• Prioritize investments and drive portfolio trade‑offs across innovation and platform scalability.
• Oversee full product lifecycle from market discovery to launch and optimization.
• Engage with utilities, partners, and stakeholders to validate direction and needs.
• Represent the company as a product thought leader in external forums and events.
