Job summary

Toast Tab, Inc. is hiring for a leadership role in our Trust & Security organization. You will oversee security across the product, lead a growing team of security engineers, and partner with product and engineering to embed secure defaults and proactive defense.

This is a hands-on leadership position focused on building secure, scalable systems rather than compliance-only work. You will own platform security programs, run offensive security and vulnerability management, and extend security

Qualifications

• Led a multi-team security engineering organization.
• Deep experience in cloud-native security (IaC, CI/CD, containers, microservices).
• Shift left security through self-service and paved roads.
• Senior engineering leaders treat you as a peer, shaping product security.
• Judgment on what to automate, embed, and where to draw lines.
• Background in engineering or software development, ideally in SaaS/cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Enable the business to lead with security by partnering with product/engineering teams, using AI and automation.
• Own the security platform: guardrails, shared services, self-service tooling.
• Drive AppSec and CloudSec programs and secure development lifecycle.
• Build developer enablement and a security champions network to extend reach.
• Lead red team and vulnerability management with purple-team cadence.
• Own hardware security as part of the product security remit.
• Lead and grow the security engineering team as scope expands.
