Job summary

Footprint seeks a security-focused engineer to own the product's security boundary end to end. You will shield the vault, enclave, and data path, and shape secure-by-design practices across the compliance programs that Footprint maintains.

You will work on audit-ready security controls, threat modeling, and proactive remediation, reporting to the Head of Engineering and partnering with security and product teams to keep customers and regulators confident.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering – application and/or infrastructure security.
• Ability to audit a production system holding millions of PII records and identify weaknesses.
• Experience securing AWS environments (IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty).
• Experience with SOC 2 or PCI DSS audits and translating controls into evidence.

Responsibilities

• Own vault and enclave security and enterprise-grade protections.
• Own the Percy sandbox boundary and ensure isolation, token scoping, and audit logs integrity.
• Own the end-user data path security from devices to vault and UI layer.
• Own document pipeline integrity against adversarial inputs and fraud detection.
• Own product security across compliance programs and lead penetration testing and remediation.
