Job summary

Arbor Education is seeking a Head of Product Design to lead and unify design across a growing suite of school management products. You will set design strategy, establish systems, and partner with product leadership to shape the roadmap and user experience.

You will line-manage designers, embed design into product teams, and advocate for user-centered decisions. We welcome a strong product mindset and a passion for education technology.

Qualifications

• Proven track record turning complex requirements into elegant, intuitive solutions.
• Experience designing within B2B SaaS products.
• Experience in product leadership and presenting design perspectives to senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading a central design function and embedding designers into other teams.
• Interest in agentic/AI-augmented workflows and evolving design systems.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead design strategy across Arbor's product portfolio.
• Act as central voice for design in product leadership decisions.
• Line-manage and mentor the product design team; define standards and systems.
• Embed designers into product teams to deliver high-impact work.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and stakeholders to drive UX/UI improvements.
• Foster innovation and cross-functional collaboration between design, PM and engineering.
