Discovery Education is seeking a Design Systems Lead to unify Atlas and Nebula into a scalable architecture, driving consistency across products and platforms. You will bridge design and engineering, modernize workflows, and influence governance and tooling for faster, higher-quality product delivery.

With 8+ years in design systems or design-to-engineering roles, you will mentor teams, define success metrics, and collaborate with Product Design, Engineering, Curriculum, and Product Management

Qualifications

• 8+ years in design systems, front-end, or design-to-engineering workflows with impact.
• Leads strategy, architecture, governance for multi-product design systems.
• Strong cross-functional influence across design, eng, product and curriculum.
• Knowledge of design tokens, accessibility, responsive patterns, and modern tools.

Responsibilities

• Audit Atlas and Nebula to identify overlaps and consolidation opportunities.
• Lead the unified, scalable design system architecture across products and platforms.
• Define governance for components, lifecycle, and documentation.
• Serve as design–engineering liaison and align workflows to reduce duplication.
• Partner with engineers to translate designs into production code.
• Measure adoption, reuse, and delivery efficiency; drive improvements.
