Managing Consultant - Placing the Top Product and Analytics Talent (NYC)

Head of Product | GenAI | Series A | Fully Remote US

Base up to $350,000 + $200,000+ equity

A well funded Series A GenAI company is hiring its first Head of Product to own a critical 0 to 1 external B2B product. This role reports directly into the CTO and will define product strategy, execution, and delivery as the business scales.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who has personally owned a complex, customer‑facing GenAI product in production and can clearly articulate the technical and product decisions behind it.

The Role

As Head of Product, you will take full ownership of a GenAI product from early concept through production launch and post‑launch iteration.

You will be responsible for:

• Defining why the product exists and the customer and commercial problems it solves
• Owning product strategy and roadmap decisions in partnership with the CTO
• Leading delivery of a complex GenAI system including RAG, orchestration, evaluation, and observability
• Making and justifying technical trade‑offs across model choice, latency, cost, and quality
• Managing product complexity across engineering, infrastructure, and data
• Deciding what ships, when it ships, and what comes next
• Building the product function as the first product hire

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a senior product leader with a strong engineer‑first mindset and deep GenAI exposure in production environments.

You should have:

• Experience owning an external, customer‑facing B2B GenAI product end to end
• Hands‑on experience with LLM‑based systems in production, not experimentation only
• Strong understanding of RAG architectures, model selection, inference trade‑offs, and evaluation
• The ability to clearly explain technical decisions to engineers, executives, and customers
• Experience working closely with senior engineering or platform teams
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and building from 0 to 1

This role is not suitable for candidates whose GenAI experience is limited to internal tooling, research, proof of concept work, or innovation labs.
