Job summary

Sacramento County's Probation Department seeks a Division Chief to plan, organize, and direct the Probation Division staff and programs. This role requires overseeing operations, implementing programs for juvenile and adult probationers, and ensuring compliance with criminal history checks and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 2 years full-time supervisory probation experience in Sacramento County Probation Department.
• Alternatively, 6 years in probation/parole/correction or related field, with 2 years at Supervising Probation Officer level or higher.
• Graduate study in behavioral science may substitute for up to two years of required supervisory experience, 15 units per 6 months.

• Ensure compliance with criminal history/background checks and certification requirements.
