Job summary

Storm4 is seeking a Head of Preconstruction to own and scale the preconstruction function for a market-leading data center platform in the United States. You will lead commercial, estimating, and procurement strategy across a multi-billion-dollar pipeline with executive exposure.

This role offers building the team from 2 to 10+, remote work with clear career progression, and direct influence on investment decisions and delivery strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading preconstruction in data centers or similar facilities.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Strong strategic planning and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all preconstruction activities for multi-billion-dollar AI data center pipeline.
• Own estimating, procurement strategy, and commercial decisions.
• Build and scale the preconstruction team from 2 to 10+ professionals.
• Partner with C-suite to shape investment and delivery strategy.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to own and scale the entire preconstruction function for a market-leading data center platform.

As Head of Preconstruction, you'll lead all commercial, estimating, procurement, and preconstruction strategy across a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of AI and hyperscale developments. You'll work directly with executive leadership, helping drive investment decisions, delivery strategy, and portfolio expansion.

Just as importantly, you'll build the team. The company is investing heavily in preconstruction and plans to grow the function from 2 people today to 10+ in the coming years, giving you the opportunity to create the structure, processes, and culture from the ground up.
