You will serve as the senior analytical advisor to Power Generation leadership, guiding market assessments, business cases, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Energy Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in commercial development, power generation, energy infrastructure, project finance, investment banking, infrastructure investing, private equity, corporate development, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating complex energy or infrastructure investments and project economics.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing analysts and analytical workstreams.
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of power generation technologies, energy markets, project development, and financing structures.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence decision‑making and communicate effectively with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own competitive analysis, pitch materials, pipeline tracking, and routine commercial updates for projects in development, and recommend where each project stands and whether it should advance.
  • Own the analyst group’s agenda and serve as the lead analytical advisor to Power Generation leadership from development through financing, execution, and operations, and as the primary resource on project performance, economics, and portfolio strategy.
  • Evaluate market trends, regulatory developments, power market dynamics, and competitive factors impacting project performance and investment decisions.
  • Own the strategic analyses, business cases, and decision‑support materials used by executive leadership, and translate complex technical, operational, and financial information into concise recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Own the development of materials for potential customers, investors, lenders, executive leadership, and Board presentations.
  • Support the economic evaluation and financial underwriting of generation projects throughout development, construction, and operational phases. Oversee development, maintenance, and review of project finance, valuation, and scenario analysis models, and ensure outputs accurately reflect project economics, development milestones, operating assumptions, and financial performance.
  • Assess project risks, returns, capital requirements, financing structures, and commercial agreements. With Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, and project leadership, evaluate debt, equity, and alternative financing structures; support capital formation, lender diligence, and financing transactions; and evaluate capital allocation strategies to optimize risk‑adjusted returns across the portfolio.
  • Support evaluation of acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other business development opportunities, and coordinate cross‑functional diligence related to development, financing, acquisition, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, develop, and hold accountable a high‑performing team of analysts and senior analysts. Decide what the team works on, who owns each workstream, and what is ready for leadership. Challenge assumptions and advance only work that is decision ready.
  • Set and enforce analytical standards, modeling best practices, reporting frameworks, and quality assurance processes, and ensure timely delivery of decision‑ready analyses and recommendations.
  • Identify capability gaps and create development opportunities to strengthen team performance. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and analytical excellence in which the team is responsible for outcomes.
