Job summary

Northwest Bancshares is seeking an Executive Director, Portfolio Manager to lead the C&I and CRE portfolio teams and ensure accurate underwriting, reporting, and regulatory alignment. You will drive first-line reporting and present findings to the Credit Risk Committee while mentoring junior managers.

Responsibilities include overseeing staffing, ensuring policy adherence, and managing risk remediation across the portfolio with a focus on growth, profitability, and credit quality.

Qualifications

• Portfolio management leadership experience in C&I and CRE.
• Strong under­writing knowledge for commercial credits including Annual Reviews and Modifications.
• Ability to interpret regulatory expectations and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead C&I and CRE portfolio management teams.
• Ensure accuracy of underwriting content and reporting outputs.
• Present portfolio reports to Credit Risk Committee.
• Monitor and remediate issues in Archer and related systems.
• Develop junior managers and manage staffing within budget.
