Job summary

Veradigm is seeking a senior engineering leader to oversee the software engineering organization responsible for the payer platform, including value-based care, payer analytics, and encounter submissions. You will drive end-to-end delivery, establish process controls, and shape platform architecture as part of senior technical leadership.

You will partner with Product Management to transform market priorities into executable plans, own migration efforts for legacy systems, and set high standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical/business experience required
• Master's degree preferred
• 15+ years relevant work experience preferred
• 10 years relevant industry, domain or functional experience required
• 7+ years of relevant leadership experience including responsibility for organizational objectives and measurements

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery across the payer portfolio from planning through release and production support.
• Establish and maintain engineering process controls across the organization, including intake, estimation, planning, and reporting.
• Define and report engineering metrics to guide staffing and investment decisions.
• Identify cross-team risks and dependencies early and elevate with recommended actions.
• Serve as senior engineering partner to Product Management during problem definition to inform strategy.
• Co-own roadmap commitments with Product Management and communicate schedule risk early.
• Translate market priorities into technical investment decisions and explain trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Represent engineering with customers, prospects, and analysts to feed roadmap insights.
• Own migration plan of legacy estate onto Health Network Architecture with sequencing and retirement criteria.
• Set and enforce engineering standards for new components, including interfaces, observability, deployment, and production readiness.
• Guide architecture reviews and cross-team decisions as part of senior technical leadership.
• Manage and develop engineering managers and set performance expectations.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning for the engineering organization.
• Set clear objectives and provide regular feedback aligned with company goals.
• Lead AI-assisted engineering adoption across the organization, including design, testing, and automation.
