Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Physical Security Engineering Manager to lead a hardware-focused security technology team. You will build and guide a high-performing group tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining access control, surveillance, and perimeter security across AWS facilities.

You will drive strategy, oversee cross-functional integration, and ensure reliability and regulatory compliance while leading innovation in physical security systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years hardware product development experience.
• 7+ years engineering team management experience.
• Experience in project management of technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a team of security focused hardware engineers.
• Security Technology Strategy: Define roadmaps for physical security systems.
• System Design & Implementation: Provide guidance on security system architecture and deployment.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with AWS teams to integrate security tech.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage security vendors and integrators.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure systems meet regulations and internal policies.
• Incident Response: Lead response to security incidents and drive improvements.
• Innovation: Stay current with emerging physical security technologies.
