Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Manager of Physical Security Engineering to lead a team delivering secure data center designs across the AMER region. You will guide CPTED, HVM, access control, and surveillance concepts from pre-design to handoff, partnering with Security, Real Estate, and Construction teams.

You will shape standards, manage performance, and drive design excellence on greenfield, BTS, and brownfield projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with AWS security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 12+ years of physical security design experience, including cameras, access control, intrusion detection, and perimeter fencing.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Physical Security Engineers across Leased/Owned data center projects.
• Set technical direction and ensure security design quality and compliance with AWS standards.
• Coordinate with Security, Real Estate, Construction, and external consultants to deliver secure data center designs.
• Oversee QA/QC, design reviews, and handoffs during project lifecycle.
