Job summary

Mercury, a fintech leader, is seeking a Head of Product to own personal banking end-to-end, setting strategy, leading PMs, and driving growth and performance.

You will craft product propositions across money management, banking, savings, investments and transfers, raise the craft bar, and guide AI-enabled experiences.

You will recruit and scale a high‑performing PM team, align cross‑functional partners, and ensure reliability, trust, and compliance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• A consumer product leader with track record building products used by millions.
• Shipped AI-led products to real consumers and understand AI potential and limits.
• High standards for craft with customer-centered, data-driven approach.
• 10+ years building consumer products, including growth and economics ownership.
• 5+ years leading product managers: hiring, coaching, org design, performance management.
• Experience launching and scaling 0-1 products and operating large product with real customers.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, and partners.
• Nice to have: banking, payments, or fintech experience.
• Sound judgment in regulated environments balancing user delight with controls.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and the propositions for personal banking across money management, banking, savings, investments, money movement, and lending.
• Set the craft bar: attention to copy, latency, empty states to feel inevitable rather than adequate.
• Drive the use of AI to improve the user experience.
• Build and scale the PM org: recruit, coach, and develop future leaders with disciplined delivery.
• Grow the business by owning acquisition, activation, retention, and virtuous loops linking Mercury’s services.
