Substack is seeking a Head of People to build and scale our People function at a pivotal growth stage. You will own strategy, systems, and programs that shape hiring, development, rewards, and support for our team.

Responsibilities include leading recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, employee experience, performance management, and talent development, plus designing training and leadership coaching programs. Equity is included for all full‑time roles.

Competenze

• 8+ years of People/HR leadership experience including benefits, compensation, leveling and reviews.
• Startup or growth-stage experience is required.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making are essential.

Who You Are:

• You have 8+ years of progressive People or HR experience with leadership across benefits, compensation, leveling, and reviews.
• You're a self-starter who sets the pace, is resourceful, and can both get hands-on and delegate.
• Startup or growth-stage experience is required; strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making are essential.

Compensation:

• The cash compensation salary range is $250,000 to $295,000.
• Substack's package includes equity for all full-time roles and exceptional benefits.
