Job summary

Kamino is hiring a Head of People to build the team and management systems for our next stage of growth. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team across hiring, organization design, performance, compensation and global People Operations.

This is a function-building role with substantial hands-on ownership. You will personally lead critical searches, coach managers and handle sensitive employee matters while establishing the systems that help people succeed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in People, Talent or HR
• Experience building/scaling a People function in high-growth firms
• End-to-end recruiting leadership across senior, technical and commercial roles
• Translate company plans into organization design, hiring priorities and management capacity
• Knowledge of U.S. and New York employment practices
• Hands-on People Operations experience with sensitive employee matters
• Experience building compensation and benefits programs and equity incentives
• Fluency with AI tools in recruiting and People operations
• Strong communication and coaching skills
• Ability to use data to identify problems and drive results

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the People function and strategy.
• Own hiring outcomes with senior, technical and commercial roles.
• Strengthen management and performance systems and processes.
• Help people succeed with onboarding, development and retention practices.
• Design compensation, rewards and long-term incentive programs.
• Run global People Operations and payroll with cross-jurisdiction coordination
