Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering / Engineering Lead to steer the Options Engineering team responsible for systematic options trading, automated quoting, execution, and risk controls. The role requires strong hands-on experience and strategic leadership across trading infrastructure.

The position is primarily remote with European or US East Coast time zones preferred, and offers flexibility to manage a team of engineers across multiple global hubs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systematic trading or low-latency trading systems
• Proficient in Rust, C++, or C and willing to deepen Rust
• Knowledge of automated quoting, execution, pricing, risk controls, and data workflows
• Experience building/maintaining low-latency trading systems in options/derivatives
• Familiarity with SQL databases; PostgreSQL preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an Options Engineering team of around 7 engineers
• Provide technical direction across trading infrastructure, system design, performance, reliability
• Own and evolve the Rust-native systematic options trading platform
• Collaborate with traders, quants, risk, product, and infrastructure stakeholders
• Balance technical leadership with delivery ownership and operational discipline
