Job summary

Bunzl is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee distribution and logistics at the Ohio facility. You will supervise staff, manage expenses and P&L, and drive safe, efficient processes from origin to consumption.

Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Logistics to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while ensuring on-time delivery and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of management experience in warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and operational processes; OSHA/Federal regulations familiarity.
• Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of distribution and logistics within the facility.
• Supervise team members, monitor expenses and oversee P&L functions.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure safe working conditions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Logistics to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Lead warehouse processes to align with company goals and define long-range plans with leadership.
• Ensure on-time delivery and cost control; manage transportation operations.
• Develop and maintain organized, clean warehouse; train employees on safety and attendance.
• Counsel and manage performance and conduct; ensure regulatory compliance.
