Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA is seeking an Operations Manager to supervise distribution and logistics, lead safety programs, and partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Customer Service to enhance profitability and service levels.

The role calls for extensive warehouse operations experience, strong communication, and the ability to drive efficiency while ensuring compliance with OSHA and FMCR standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of management experience in warehouse operations required.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, OSHA/FMCR regulations, and safety programs.
• Experience in a unionized environment is a plus; excellent communication and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the distribution and logistics departments.
• Supervise team members, monitor expenses, and oversee P&L functions.
• Promote a safe workplace and culture of safety.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Logistics to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Lead warehouse processes to align with company goals; plan and implement long-range objectives.
• Establish operational standards for cost control, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Develop a skilled workforce and continuously pursue productivity improvements.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and ensure safety training is provided.
