Job summary

GDI Services Inc US in Alsip, IL is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to organize, direct, and optimize our division's activities across multiple sites. You will drive cost and profit objectives while ensuring all work aligns with contract specifications.

You will build client relationships, supervise site teams, monitor performance, and collaborate with sales to grow the business, while upholding safety policies and timely billing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of multi-unit, high-volume Operations Leadership in commercial cleaning.
• Meet deadlines and make sound decisions under stress.
• Strong customer service and employee relations skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to multi-task and work independently with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct, and control operational activities across division to meet cost and profit objectives.
• Know operations at each site: contract scope, building type, client nuances.
• Ensure delivery and execution of all contracted janitorial services within division.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at client locations.
• Communicate frequently with client sites via calls, emails, and site visits.
• Work with supervisors and managers to develop operational knowledge.
• Monitor site performance and implement necessary changes.
• Coordinate with client and internal teams to ensure timely billing and collections.
• Comply with GDI safety policies; report accidents or near misses.
• Collaborate with vendors for onsite materials and equipment; negotiate staffing changes.
• Partner with sales to grow the business and represent the GDI brand.
• Oversee all employees in the region including Area Managers, Account Managers, and Cleaners.
