Affiliated Oncologists is seeking a Director of Clinical Services to oversee clinical operations across multiple locations in Illinois. You will lead clinical staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while driving quality patient care.

The role requires extensive oncology management experience, leadership in staffing and education, and collaboration with physicians and executive leadership to align operations with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or another clinical field required.
• Advanced degree in nursing, healthcare, or business field strongly preferred (MSN, MBA or MHA).
• Current state licensure for applicable clinical background required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum seven to ten years direct clinical oncology experience preferred.
• Minimum five to seven years prior management experience preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification strongly preferred.
• Healthcare Quality Improvement certification (CPHQ, Six Sigma) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the clinical operations for all/assigned clinical disciplines.
• Sets annual performance goals for clinical disciplines in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Oversees performance evaluations including development of objectives and developmental goals.
• Ensure that all clinical equipment is operational and replaced/repaired as needed.
• Conducts regular meetings with clinical staff.
• Oversee annual skills competency testing for clinical staff.
• Leads staff retention and development programs to optimize performance and reduce turnover.
• Hires and coordinates training for all clinical personnel.
• Directs orientation and ongoing education programs for clinical staff.
• Develops annual operating goals and budget for the clinical department.
• Controls operating costs within budget parameters.
• Supports short/long-range plans including new clinical service lines.
• Maintains staffing coverage within budgetary guidelines.
• Directs use of charge codes and staff education for reimbursement guidance.
• Implements regulatory and value-based care program components.
