Job summary

Barracuda Networks is seeking a Manager, Offensive Security to lead a global team of cybersecurity engineers focused on threat detection, attack simulations, and SOC maturation across SaaS, endpoint, network, and cloud platforms.

You will drive detection innovation, develop CI/CD for rules, coordinate red/blue teams, and guide proactive threat hunting while reporting on security incidents and metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in security operations and offensive security.
• 2-3 years in leadership.
• 3–4 years hands-on Python/SQL.
• Experience with Kali and pentesting tools.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Strong cross-timezone collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor cybersecurity engineers.
• Develop and tune detection rules for cloud, network, and endpoint telemetry.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for detection rules.
• Implement and manage the full lifecycle of SIEM detection rules.
• Foster collaboration between red and purple teams to drive offensive and defensive innovation.
• Create and execute sprint projects to improve SOC maturity and R&D.
• Lead threat hunting initiatives across customer networks.
• Guide team through complex security incidents such as ransomware.
