Job summary

Barracuda is a leading cybersecurity company protecting email, data, applications, and networks. The Manager, Offensive Security will lead a global SOC-focused team in threat detection, attack simulations, and detection engineering across SaaS, cloud, network, and endpoint platforms.

You will drive innovation, CI/CD for detection rules, and collaboration across red, purple, green, and blue teams, guiding incident responses and proactive security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in security operations, detection engineering and offensive security.
• 2-3 years in leadership experience managing cybersecurity teams.
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Kali and other pentesting/hacking tools.
• Lab environments for attack and defend exercises.
• Strong cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with SIEMs like Elastic and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers.
• Develop, test and tune detection rules for cloud, network, and endpoint telemetry.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to deploy detection rules.
• Manage full lifecycle of SIEM detection rules.
• Coordinate red and purple teams for offensive/defensive innovation.
• Lead sprint projects to improve SOC maturity and R&D.
• Oversee threat hunting across customer networks.
