Job summary

Mesh Connect is seeking a Head of Off-Chain Engineering to own exchange and fiat integrations that power crypto and money flows. You will set strategy, build the org, and stay close to code to ensure reliability and competitive advantage.

You will lead engineering across exchanges (US/EU) and fiat (India), define strategy, review designs, and drive major incidents while building scalable platforms, observability, and testing harnesses. Strong leadership and crypto/payments expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in engineering with director-level experience leading multiple teams.
• Deep crypto and payments experience with live exchange or payments systems.
• Highly technical yet able to present design decisions to executives.
• Operates with operational rigor: on-call and postmortems.
• AI-native track record improving team workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own off-chain engineering across exchanges (US/EU) and Fiat (India): reliability, velocity, roadmap, and org.
• Define the off-chain strategy and present it to the exec team; translate into charters, metrics, and plans.
• Stay hands-on: review designs, dig into code, and lead major incidents.
• Define and hit SLOs for connection and transfer success across major exchanges.
• Build the integration platform, observability, and testing harnesses for rapid onboarding of new exchanges.
• Hire, develop, and lead managers and engineers across time zones.
• Build direct technical relationships with exchange and payments partners.
• Partner with Product, Partnerships, and Customer Success to prioritize client impact.
