Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Director of Engineering, NPD & VAVE in Apex, NC to own specification quality, lead multi‑discipline engineering teams, and drive cost‑effective design across the product portfolio. You will partner with Product Management, PMO, and SQA to ensure timely, high‑quality launches.

This role requires 12+ years in engineering with 5+ years leading Mechanical, Electrical, and VAVE efforts, plus strong program management and governance capabilities.,Beverage and pool tech experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with extensive NPD experience.
• Proven leadership of multiple engineering disciplines in hardware projects.
• Strong front-end specification and stage-gate governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering's specification quality at program kickoff and ensure clear hand‑offs.
• Lead cross‑functional trade‑offs and drive stage‑gate reviews with PMO and teams.
• Lead VAVE activity and cost‑avoidance throughout the design cycle.
• Develop engineering leadership and succession within the team.
