Job summary

Rex is seeking a Director of Acquisitions & Transactions to drive a high‑impact, full‑cycle multifamily deal process from sourcing through exit. The role requires leadership across brokers, lenders, and counsel, with a track record of closing complex transactions and building repeatable systems within a mission‑driven real estate platform.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in multifamily private equity real estate across acquisitions, transactions, or investment operations.
• Personally quarterbacked 20+ multifamily closings, including deals that went sideways and were saved.
• Strong underwriting capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency; ability to build and audit acquisition models.
• Established relationships with investment sales brokers and debt brokers; credibility with counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Quarterback every multifamily transaction from first broker call through LOI, purchase contract, due diligence, and closing.
• Source opportunities through broker relationships, owner outreach, and proprietary channels.
• Underwrite deals, form clear investment theses, and make decisive go/no-go recommendations.
• Negotiate LOIs and purchase agreements with outside counsel; own contract terms.
• Line up debt and equity before LOI, coordinate with lenders, and protect deposits.
• Lead handoff to asset management and track execution against the business plan.
