Job summary

Rex seeks a Director, Debt Capital Markets to own the debt strategy behind a growing multifamily portfolio. This is a hands-on, high-impact role, fully remote, interfacing with agency lenders, life companies, and CMBS to optimize capital structure.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in multifamily debt, a conservative, downside-first mindset, and a track record of building robust lender relationships and execution capabilities for Rex.

Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily debt or complex real estate financing.
• Proven ability to structure debt with long-term fixed-rate terms.
• Ability to lead competitive lender processes end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own debt strategy across the multifamily portfolio with long-term fixed-rate debt.
• Run competitive financing processes across multiple lenders and programs.
• Negotiate term sheets, loan documents, and closing conditions with counsel.
• Maintain calendar of maturities, covenants, and prepayment terms.
• Partner with asset and property management to optimize operating performance.
