Job summary

Polymarket is seeking a Lead Mobile Performance Engineer to own the speed, efficiency, and responsiveness of our mobile platform across iOS and Android. You will set the direction for mobile performance and establish the systems that keep the product fast at scale.

You will drive end-to-end performance, define architecture and tooling, optimize startup and rendering, and build observability with real-user monitoring and synthetic tests.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in mobile performance engineering at scale for iOS/Android.
• Strong Swift and/or Kotlin skills with understanding of runtimes and OS scheduling.
• Experience with real user monitoring, frame-rate profiling, and observability systems.
• You pursue problems with measurement, profiling, and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own mobile performance end-to-end across iOS and Android with measurable targets.
• Define architecture, standards, and tooling for performance improvements.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in startup, rendering, and network.
• Design data fetching, caching, and synchronization to reduce latency.
• Instrument monitoring, crash reporting, and synthetic tests for visibility.
• Set benchmarks and budgets to keep performance a core focus as the team grows.
