Job summary

Hover is seeking a senior mobile engineering leader to drive the camera and sensor work, guided scanning, and cloud upload paths that power our property capture products. You will shepherd the mobile capture experience across iOS, Android, and React Native while balancing near-term delivery with long-term architecture and developer velocity.

You will partner with Product and Design from day one, ensuring the capture pipeline remains reliable, scalable, and delightful for customers, inspectors,

Qualifications

• Experience leading mobile engineering teams and managers.
• Strong technical foundation to evaluate architecture and coach engineers.
• Hands-on experience operating mobile apps at scale and understanding performance, networking, and release engineering.
• Proven ability to partner with Product and Design as a peer.
• Track record of improving reliability and engineering quality in complex systems.
• Experience hiring and developing engineering leaders with high performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mobile engineering organization for iOS, Android, and React Native.
• Set technical direction for mobile product development balancing delivery and long-term architecture.
• Shape boundaries between shared capture infra, components, and product experiences.
• Treat reliability as a product feature with observability and quality practices.
• Collaborate with Product and Design from the outset to guide mobile platform evolution.
• Participate as a senior member of the Engineering leadership team to guide investments.
