Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Director of Software Engineering, Mobile Applications to lead our consumer mobile experiences on iOS and Android. You will own end-to-end delivery, quality, and evolving our mobile apps, partnering with Product, Design, Data, AI, and Platform leaders.

The role combines strong mobile technical judgment with consumer-focused leadership, building high-performing teams and a unified mobile strategy across platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant 10+ years software engineering with leadership for large-scale mobile apps.
• 5-7 years leading engineering managers and multiple teams across iOS and Android.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of modern native mobile architecture, development practices, and app-store delivery.
• Experience with high-traffic consumer apps and measurable outcomes.
• Experience with modular architecture, APIs, experimentation, and CI/CD.
• Proven ability to recruit, coach, and retain engineering leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams across iOS and Android.
• Manage and develop engineering managers, senior technical leaders, and mobile engineers.
• Establish ownership, operating rhythms, engineering standards, and accountability across mobile teams.
• Own delivery of key mobile journeys including search, discovery, saved homes, personalization, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Translate business strategy and customer needs into an executable mobile roadmap with Product and Design.
• Ensure alignment across iOS and Android while preserving platform-specific experiences.
• Improve planning, estimating, dependency management, and delivery predictability.
• Define success measures tied to engagement, retention, conversion, and quality.
