Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a leader to head the Machine Learning Sciences team within its Computational Sciences department, applying AI/ML to optimize small molecule drug discovery, including ADMET and PK prediction and multiparameter design.

You will collaborate with medicinal chemistry, DMPK, biology, and data science to embed predictive models into workflows, shape strategy, drive model validation, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven expertise in applying ML to drug discovery problems.
• Leadership experience in scientific projects or teams.
• Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set scientific strategy for ML efforts within the team.
• Oversight of team development and project execution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with medicinal chemistry, DMPK, biology, and data science teams to embed predictive models into workflows.
• Drive model validation and innovation by evaluating new methodologies.
• Represent the team to senior leadership.
