Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions seeks a Director of Power Generation – Mechanical to lead its mechanical power gen practice, overseeing design, QA, and compliance for conventional, renewable, distributed, and microgrid facilities.

The role provides technical leadership, staff mentorship, and business development support, with a focus on grid modernization and client satisfaction across utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, and industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10–15+ years of mechanical engineering experience related to electric power generation facilities.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience managing engineering teams, projects, or technical disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience serving as lead mechanical engineer for power generation projects.
• PE license and ability to obtain multi-state licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead mechanical engineering for power generation facilities.
• Serve as PE of Record for mechanical designs and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Lead design reviews, quality control, and project execution.
• Mentor staff, manage resources, and support business growth.
• Engage clients and support proposal development and presentations.
