Job summary

Jane Roberts Consulting in the Southwest Atlanta area seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical engineering discipline and build the standards and systems to support the company’s next growth phase.

The role requires developing people, processes, standards, tools, and governance for successful deployment of the company’s proprietary technology platform. You will oversee rotating and static equipment, ensure quality, and drive cost performance across capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in chemical processing, petrochemical, refining, specialty chemical, advanced manufacturing, energy, or related industries.
• Experience supporting large capital projects from concept through commissioning.
• Significant experience with both static and rotating equipment.
• Experience leading engineering teams, technical groups, or engineering disciplines.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and equipment vendors.
• Strong understanding of engineering governance, standards, and project execution methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering function as the enterprise Mechanical Discipline Authority.
• Develop people, processes, standards, tools, and systems for scalable deployment of technology across projects.
• Transform engineering knowledge into repeatable, scalable systems and standards to reduce risk and improve quality, schedule, and cost.
