Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead the architectural and engineering team's mechanical discipline. You will oversee projects, manage budgets, develop client relationships, and steer business development strategies while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

You will mentor Senior Program Managers and Program Managers, drive data-driven decision making, and align operations with company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Licenses: P.E. required.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering project and/or program management experience in A/E/C.
• Experience with commercial programs such as retail or restaurants.
• 8+ years of supervisory experience.
• MS Office required; AutoCAD and Revit are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering consulting process and primary client contact.
• Participate in business development and cross-marketing with other offices.
• Oversee initial program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
• Manage and provide leadership to Senior Program Managers and Program Managers; ensure timelines are met.
• Analyze data to support decision-making and KPIs.
• Mentor and develop staff, fostering growth and performance.
• Other duties as required.
